About Sunrise
We Offer Three Crystal Clear Pools, One Being Adults Only!
Sunrise Community Club is a not for profit club located in Metairie, adjacent to the eastern side of Lafreniere Park. Since the 1960's, Sunrise has offered its members a fun, convenient & cost-effective way for families to socialize. Sunrise also holds adult socials throughout the year, including bunco nights, seasonal parties, dinners and more.
We offer three pools: a four lane lap pool with standard 25 yard lanes, a recreational pool with a diving board, and a shallow pool for toddlers. Our crystal-clear pools are the cleanest around, receiving daily maintenance so that our members never worry about sanitation. Certified lifeguards are on duty when the pools are open.
Our clubhouse features a large activity/social event room with a beverage service area & large screen television at one end, a smaller game room for children to play ping-pong, foosball & video games or watch tv, and a full-service kitchen. The clubhouse is available for rental from the weekend after Labor Day through the weekend before pool opening on Memorial Day weekend.

Swim & Dive Teams
Go Stingrays!
Sunrise Community Club is a charter member of the Jefferson Community Club Association (JCCA).
Our swim team, the STINGRAYS, has provided a great entry for hundreds of swimmers into the arena of competitive swimming. Many children who started swimming at Sunrise go on to compete for their middle & high schools, while others have advanced to year-round club swim through USA SWIMMING, and some to swim competitively in college. One of our many accomplished swimmers, Thomas Vanderbrook, set multiple state records, swam for Indiana University, one of the premiere college swim programs, and recently competed at the Olympic trials.
At Sunrise, every swimmer is important; every child swims as many events as he or she is able. While on some teams, a child may swim in one event due to a large number of swimmers for a limited amount of races,
every child on Sunrise's team knows that he or he will get multiple chances to help the team out!
Meets are held on Tuesday evenings at 6:30, both at Sunrise's pool and at our opponents' pools. Practices are held three days a week;
the schedule will be announced in May.
Sunrise Community Club participates in the JCCA Summer Dive League. Meets are held both at Sunrise and at rival clubs on Monday evenings at 6:30, while practices are held during the week in the dive pool at Sunrise. Sunrise Dive was the 2017 JCCA Dive Champion!
Few opportunities exist for young people to learn diving as a sport in the local area. Over the years, dive team members have been recruited to join AAU dive teams that travel around the state and country. Sunrise is pleased to offer this opportunity to our members!

Sunrise Community Club is a not for profit club club. Annual dues vary depending on membership type. We offer the following plans:

Activities Offered Throughout the Year:
Poolside Karaoke
Sing or Swim!
Sing the night away at one of our Poolside Karaoke Events, or swim and enjoy the entertainment.
Dinner & a Movie
Grab a float and watch a movie with us on the big screen. Sunrise offers dinner and movie nights each season.
Adult Bunco Nights
Sunrise offers several bunco nights throughout the year. Everyone brings a dish to share with friends, and a good time is had by all.
Club Rentals
Celebrate life's important events at Sunrise!! The Clubhouse at Sunrise Community Club is available for rental for private parties from the weekend after Labor Day until the weekend before the club opens for the summer season on Memorial Day weekend. The Clubhouse is not available for rental for private parties during the summer. Rentals include access to a full kitchen and ice machine.
In the past, the Sunrise Clubhouse has been the venue for wedding receptions, Sweet Sixteen fetes, First Communion parties, baby showers, going-away parties, bridesmaid luncheons, Irish wakes, sales meetings, company dinners, birthday parties, retreats, team awards banquets,
product showings and more.
